“Money in the Mountains” race at Big Diamond goes to the “Diamond Cutter” Duane Howard

Despite of all the adversaries that were presented to Big Diamond Speedway yesterday, promoter Jake Smulley was able to provide a very raceable track to the teams and drivers to compete on throughout the night. With rain all morning and cloudy damp conditions the rest of the day the track crew was able to get the dirt oval in racing shape for the night’s events. Read More....


6th Annual “Money in the Mountains” Race scheduled to take place this Friday April 27th at Big Diamond Speedway.

Postponed twice due to our extended northeast winter, this Friday Big Diamond Speedway will once again present the 6th Annual “Money in the Mountains” race for the Modifieds. This Friday will also be “No Sweat Service Group” night as the mighty Modifieds will take part in the 40-Lap Big Block / Small Block challenge race paying a nice sum of $6000 to the winner with $400 to take the green. The winner of the MITM race will also receive a guaranteed spot in the STSS “Anthracite Assault” set to take place on Tuesday June 5th. Read More....

It was unbelievably warm spring night up in God’s Country as Big Diamond presented their 47th season opener. Standing tall in victory lane on “Schaeffers Motorsports Night” and taking top honors were Billy Pauch Jr after a terrific battle with rival Ryan Godown in the Mattera’s Electrical and General Contracting 358 Modfieds feature race. Big Diamond cancels Friday’s practice; Practice, Vintage cars and Enduro’s now set for Saturday 3/31
Due to wet grounds and an unfavorable forecast for today and tomorrow, Big Diamond promoter Jake Smulley has been forced to pull the plug on Friday’s scheduled practice. The track will now proceed with Saturday’s rain date. Practice is open to any car with a roll cage and proper safety equipment. Also, on tap for Saturday will be the “Blast from the Past” Vintage cars along with a 75 lap Enduro Race paying $3000 to the winner take all event. There must be a minimum of 30 cars for the Enduro race and if the minimum of 30 cars is not met the race will revert to a normal 50 lap race.Read More....

Big Diamond 2018 Season Pass Now Available!

If you need that perfect gift for a special race fan this Christmas, a 2018 Big Diamond Speedway season pass is the ultimate gift that will literally keep on giving! Not only will the season pass holder receive free admission into EVERY race of 2018, we will also include a reserved seat for every event on the 2018 schedule!

The 2018 season will kick off with the free-to-the-public practice session on Friday, March 30. Followed by the 47th annual season opener on Friday, April 6 featuring the Modifieds, Sportsman, Roadrunners, and Street Stocks.

Those wishing to reserve a seat without purchasing a season pass can do so for $30 per seat.

Fans purchasing a season pass & those who purchased reserved seats without a season pass will be able to select their reserved seat at the practice on March 30.

UPDATE for 2018:

American Racer will remain the tire of choice for Big Diamond Speedway.

*Sunoco will remain the mandatory fuel.

*Handicapping will be a 3 week average.

*Warm ups at 7:30pm with racing to follow.

*Modified, Sportsman, Roadrunner, and Street Stock engine rules will remain the same as 2017.

*Nylon fans will be permitted in the Modified & Sportsman Class.

*Street Stocks will have the option to run a "non cambered" floater rear. Steel axle tubes only, no aluminum calipers.

*Street Stock transmission rule:
No 2 speeds, must be stock appearing, must have reverse.
